Our Blurb Family Albums & Gifts for the Holidays

Here's some pictures of our family albums that I have been meaning to share forever!
It is so fun to be able to look back on the past 3 years and remember - the journey, the joy and see the changes! How fast kids grow!

I chose this simple look on the front cover and have given each year a 'subtitle' that describes our lives that year!

Last year we took my mom hiking in the Polish mountains when she flew back with my and our 2 boys. Our littlest was just 2 months old - they were both troupers! {We didn't know it would end up being an 8 hour hike!} Hard to believe she is arriving in just under a month for the arrival of #3!

This was our family Christmas trip last year to the Christkindlmarkt - such good memories! Again, our boys were troupers @ 2years & 6months! They won't remember that trip but i'm so thankful we have these albums to help them remember their early years.

These family albums are kind of a gift we give ourselves each year. I work on them all year and love how the software {booksmart} automatically saves! When i need to run to change a diaper or get distracted doing something else i don't lose all my work.

We've also given photo books as gifts to a few dear friends - one family who served in Poland for 10 years. I knew that they hadn't taken many pictures or didn't have them all in one place. I also asked friends to send pictures and a written note to include in the book! I LOVE how it turned out. Memories truely are priceless. I love how photos give use the ability to remember -

In the Old Testament, God tells the Israelites, "It was not your children who saw what he did for you in the wilderness until you arrived at this place... But it was your own eyes that saw all these great things the Lord has done." (Deut 11. 5,7) He was charging them to remember, to not forget and to tell their children of the greatness of God. We too want to remind our children that in their lives, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change." (James 1:17)

Have you ever done a family photo album? Maybe this Christmas it's a gift you could give yourself! Or maybe you want to make one for the grandparents? Check out all the options at Blurb's gift center.

Blurb lets you make seriously beautiful books using their free tools. Just add photos and text, choose your options (like paper and cover type), and then order.

I've thought about making baby book's for our boys, or gifting friends with a recipe book combined with fun pictures of our friendship and the recipes that they have asked me to share!
