This year our family has an annual pass to the Wrocław Zoo. We've already been 4 times and are loving it! On this trip the boys were especially fond of collecting pinecones, petting the goats, feeding the deer and eating ice cream!
The Zoo is the oldest and biggest (in terms of animals) in Poland. It was opened in 1865 as the Breslau Zoological Gardens when the city was part of Prussia. It has over 7,100 animals! We love the old parts of the zoo, and how the city is constantly working to renovate it and make it more people friendly. Check out this "Afrykarium" they are in the process of building. It for the animals from Africa and looks like Noah's Ark! We can't wait until it opens!!
