[discombobulated]past participle, past tense of dis·com·bob·u·late

Disconcert or confuse (someone).

and it pretty much describes how i'm feeling lately. if i were honest i'd have to say that as a single... before i had kids... i felt like i had my act together pretty much most of the time. i would probably have described myself as 'competent' and 'capable'. not so these days.

but i'm learning that a little sleep deprivation is good for the soul and so is feeling 'a mess' and 'discombobulated'. it means that i need jesus. it means that i am going to need to count on God's promises and take Lamentations 3:22-24 to the bank.

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
    for his compassions never fail.

They are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness.

I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
    therefore I will wait for him.”

to be honest i wish i wasn't sleep deprived... or discombobulated. i wish that i could get more done in a 24hr period. or that my two little ones would nap at the same time (it does happen on a rare occasion!)

but it is good to need Him.

I can so relate. Most days I feel like I'm just spinning in circles. I've had to add in: get snack, get juice, take to the potty, give a bath, take to the potty, read the train book, take to the potty, clean up cheesy fingers, etc. to my daily to-do list to remind myself that i really am accomplishing something! :)
