Around Town in Krakow :: Florianska Street (also known as the Royal Road)

Florianska Street is always bustling with activity and guarded on one side by the Florian gate, the only medieval gate (of eight) left standing today... and on the other side by the towering St. Mary's Basilica. This was the route that the kings and queens would proceed to the castle in medieval times and the way we walk to church on Sundays. Our favourite kebab stand is also on this street, which pours into the Old Town Square with a beautiful view of the Old Cloth Hall (Sukiennice). Enjoy!
