Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Two of my dear friends are carrying heavy burdens these days.
With their mother and father dying of terminal cancer... both
girls are my age, or younger... and yet the Lord is asking them
to walk through the valley of the shadow of death, with those
closest to them. Heavy.

I have been admonished and encouraged by Galatians 6.2
which says, "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."
And am asking myself how do i love my friends well during these days,
how can I help bear their burden? Then we sang this song in church this morning:

Sometimes in our lives we all have pain
We all have sorrow
But if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow

Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on

Please swallow your pride
If I have things you need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
That you don't let show

If there is a load you have to bear
That you can't carry
I'm right up the road
I'll share your load
If you just call me

So just call on me brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'd understand
We all need somebody to lean on

No exact answers yet... just something i'm wrestling to understand,

and live out practically... for now i continue to pray and seek to be

a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on... hard days.
