the protection of our heavenly father

"Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father."
Matthew 10.29

.verse of the day.
there was a foot note after the word translated "penny" in English. The word actually refers to an assarion, a small Roman copper coin. One of them was worth one-sixteenth of a denarius or less than a half hour’s average wage.

Sparrows
were the cheapest items sold in the market.

So we have 2 of the cheapest birds at the market sold for less that half of minimum wage for 1/2 hrs worth of work.

But God will not let one of them fall to the ground (which would mean certain death for a baby bird) apart from his will. God knows about even the most financially insignificant things.
