Texas Culture 101 :: Blue Bonnets

I was visiting my friend Laura this weekend and got some pictures of the state flower which is now in bloom. The Blue Bonnet, is amed for its color and is said to resemblea woman's sunbonnet. It has been the state flower of Texas since 1901. It blooms in the early spring and can be found in fields and along the roadsides throughout central and south Texas.

I love spring time with all the flowers and signs of life. Texas is so far ahead of New York. Thanks for sharing the beauty and brightness of Texas.
